There is much anticipation for the 2017 Maserati Levante. The mass production for this model is set to begin later this year and will be based on a platform made by Maserati as opposed to relying on one by Jeep Grand Cherokee. This model will either be a crossover make also known as a mid size SUV. It will combine both great styling and a very impressive performance. The 2017 Maserati Levante will be bold and muscular. At the front, the model will have the trademark Trident grille as well as larger air vents. Thinner headlamps will be mounted in this model. Interestingly, the tri-bars gills that are typical of Maserati models will be seen on the front fenders. At the rear, the model will have larger taillights and larger exhaust pipes as well. These will be arranged in a quad pipe layout. At the top of the tailgate, there will be a spoiler and the muscular rear fenders will complement the rear styling. Inside the model, there will be a brand new styling that will be inspired by other Maserati models. In fact, a majority of the features will be borrowed from the Quattroporte and the Ghibli. The dashboard will be 2 tone and will feature a large infotainment screen that will be accompanied by a center stack and console. The materials that will be used in the upholstery will include very high quality plastic, Alcantara and leather that will be complemented well by the contrast stitching. Aluminum finishes will also be used on this model with carbon fiver accents being an optional feature. A sport steering wheel will be used. The seats of this model will offer great support and will also have plenty of shoulder, head and leg room. Adequate cargo room will also be availed. The safety features that will be installed will also be state of the art and the model will also feature very advanced infotainment features.
2017 Maserati Levante Engine
According to the information that is currently circulating, the 2017 Maserati Levante will have 4 engine options. The manufacturer is yet to confirm this information. In the base model, a twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6 engine will be used. It will have the ability to generate 404 horsepower and to tolerate 406 pound feet of torque. Another option will be a 3.8 liter V8 engine that will also be a twin-turbo. This engine will generate 523 horsepower and will handle 479 pound feet of torque. Less than 5 seconds will be required for this engine variant to rocket to the 60mph mark. Although no information about the other two engines has been availed, it is known that one of those will be a diesel engine whereas the other will be a plug-in hybrid model.
2017 Maserati Levante Release Date and Price
The exact date of release for this model is yet to be known. There are close sources indicating that the model will be released very late this year or in early 2017. The cost of retail is also yet to be confirmed by the manufacturer. The model is set to retail at about $80,000 judging by the current exchange rates.
