2017 Ford Explorer

Today I will write about a car with multiple personalities. It offers excellent ride along with outstanding handling and full set of modern high-tech features. The name of this fantastic vehicle is the new 2017 Ford Explorer. Its sleek styling, improved interior layout and good name of the brand will definitely attract new owners. As for its loyal followers, in my opinion, they will be pleased with this new generation. The competition, in its segment is very strong, I will mention the Mazda CX-9, Hyundai Santa Fe, GMC Acadia and Toyota Highlander.

2017 Ford Explorer Redesign

Exterior

The exterior design of the new 2017 Ford Explorer is modern and classy. Interested buyers are able to choose between five trim levels. The first three models are the base, XLT and Platinum. The remaining two available models are Sport and Limited. Its exterior includes LED low-beam headlights, strong bumper and mighty grille in front. Furthermore, we can find 18-inch aluminum wheels, remote keyless entry and backup camera. The latest edition is an XLT sport appearance package. This package will have 20-inch wheels, a black roof rack, gray accents and other features.

Interior

Inside the new 2017 Ford Explorer we can find comfortable and neat cabin with three rows of seating. This cabin is conceived to secure a pleasant and safety ride and can accommodate up to seven passengers. As for the available equipment, the new Ford is enriched with a 60/40-split second-row seat, a six-speaker sound system and an eight-way power driver seat is also present. The list of standard features also includes Bluetooth, 50/50-split third-row seat and a 4.2-inch dashboard display screen. I cannot forget Sync (Ford’s voice-activated phone and entertainment interface), air conditioning, front airbags, an electronic stability system and cruise control.

2017 Ford Explorer Engine

Under the hood of the new 2017 Ford Explorer we are able to find three engine options. The first option is a standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine with the total strength of 290 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. The second available variant is a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 280 horses and 310 lb-ft of torque. And, the last option is a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine with the total output of 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. These engines will be matched with a six-speed automatic transmission, and it is up to us to choose between front- and all-wheel-drive models.

2017 Ford Explorer Release Date and Price

The release date of the new 2017 Ford Explorer is yet to be announced by the manufacturer, and the car will cost between $32,605 – $54,180.
