During the 2015 Chicago Auto Show we had a chance to see the new 2016 Honda Pilot for the first time in North America. With a third-generation of this brand, the Company has high expectations on the very competitive crossover market. 2016 Honda Pilot Redesign
From the outside, the new 2016 Honda Pilot is thoroughly redesigned and with this changes, the new model leaves very sportier and muscular appearance. We can feel presence of true functionality with this remarkable SUV. Its front end is redesigned and for the first time in a history of this brand, there is a panoramic roof. The rear end of this car looks very fresh with a futuristic taillights. Furthermore, we must mention a 20-inch optional wheels and available LED headlamps.There is also a LED daytime running lights.
When we look inside of the new 2016 Honda Pilot, we can notice a functional interior layout with a more cargo space. This SUV can accommodate eight passengers and comfortable ride is guaranteed. It will have up to five USB ports. For the second row passengers, the new Pilot has a nice surprise. This surprise is an optional 9-inch rear entertainment system. Kids will be happy with this one. We can not forget front-row passengers. There is an 8-inch touchscreen that will certainly satisfy buyers. Its modern dashboard is very interesting. Of course, we can not forget characteristics such as a multi-view rearview camera, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and Honda’s LaneWatch display. There is also a lane departure warning and Honda’s road departure mitigation system.
2016 Honda Pilot Engine
Under the hood, the new 2016 Honda Pilot will be powered by a 3.5 – liter V-6 engine. We can expect that this engine can produce 300 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It will have a standard six-speed automatic transmission. There is also a nine-speed automatic transmission for the expensive trim levels. Furthermore, there is a new all-wheel-drive system, but we can not forget that the front-drive models are also available.
2016 Honda Pilot Release Date and Price
The new 2016 Honda Pilot will be released in the Summer of 2015. The price will be between $30,000 and $40,000.
